A big thank you to Jenny George for inviting us to play the sold out Dancing On The Valentine Leukemia and Lymphoma benefit at Neumo’s. We had a blast playing this tribute to The Cure with members of The Redwood Plan and the horn section of Smoking Bill!

After the last big slew of shows, we’re taking a short breather to continue work on our next album. Be sure to mark your calendars for Friday, March 15. Jupe Jupe will share the stage with a stellar lineup featuring our friends A Breakthrough in Field Studies, The Glass Notes, and Specters!

January 2013

Happy new year, all!

Our first show is a two-hour marathon set at The Brown Lantern in Anacortes WA on Saturday, January 26. Yes, we’ll be testing out some new material for our forthcoming release (expect it sometime toward the end of the year), and revisiting plenty from our last two albums. And of course, we’ll throw in some specially chosen covers to keep things interesting!

Thursday, January 31, we’ll be playing The Comet with three of our local favorites—C’est la Mort, Blue Light Curtain, and Golden Gardens. Hope you can make it!

November/December 2012

Songwriting for the next album is coming along very nicely—we’re nearly halfway through! We’ll continue debuting new songs at shows in the next several months.

We have a very exciting show coming up Thursday, December 13th at the Crocodile Cafe with Continental Soldiers, Teeter Totter and DJ Phill Anythony. Come out and start your "winter celebration" festivities a couple days early!

September/October 2012

We have three fanastic shows coming up this fall.

October 18th at the Highline (Capital Hill), we'll be opening for one of our favorite Seattle bands, Blue Light Curtain. Also on the bill are Portland dream-poppers Appendixes and the new electro off-spring of Vibragun, Alfred Bitchcock.

November 1st at the High Dive (Ballard), we are playing with the fuzzy and fanastic Black Nite Crash with our friends in A Breakthrough in Field Studies at their CD release.

November 3rd we're heading up north to Anacortes, Washington to play again with A Breakthrough in Field Studies once again, at the Brown Lantern.

July/August

It's been a busy couple of months for Jupe Jupe! We're currently writing songs for our third full-length album, which we plan to release sometime in late 2013. For inspiration, we've been listening to a lot of Echo and the Bunnymen, Roy Orbison, Italian film scores, and Kraftwerk. We'll be debuting new material at our next round of shows.

In July we played a Krautrock tribute night at Seattle's Rat and Raven--covering "Isi" by Neu! and "The Model" by Kraftwerk. The evening was such a success that the booker is scheduling a Krautrock part zwei at The Comet in October! Stay tuned for details.

Lots of exciting things are going on in the land of Jupe Jupe.

On Thursday, June 7, we're thrilled to be a part of a stellar lineup at Chop Suey during the 2012 Noise for the Needy benefit! Four fantastic synth/dance bands for your listening pleasure. We start at 9pm.

Also, we're excited to play our first-ever 2012 Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon on June 23, which is attended by thousands of runners and spectators every year. A total of twenty-six bands are set up on stages at each mile mark throughout the course, which traverses through our lovely city.

Be sure to stop by and catch Jupe Jupe's set if your near our stage on Rainier Ave and Genessee between 7:25 and 9:55 am--especially if you're in need of a dance-muzik fix first thing in the morn'!
